Arriving on Skiathos

The boat docks at Skiathos town, the island's only town. Seajets' own guide points to Koukounaries beach, Lalaria (reachable only by sea), the Bourtzi peninsula between the two harbours, the house of the writer Alexandros Papadiamantis, and Lake Strofilia.

Island buses (Skiathos Transport)

Skiathos Transport runs the island buses and publishes the timetables. Its winter timetable applies from Monday 12 October 2026. A telematics system gives real-time bus positions and stop announcements: scan the QR code at a stop or use its website. Phone +30 24270 22497.

Skiathos Airport (JSI)

If you fly in or out: the airport says a public bus runs between the airport and Skiathos town, from the curbside stop south of the control tower. For times it refers you to Skiathos Transport.

Bus times and taxi fares are not copied here; they change by season. Check Skiathos Transport on the day.

Before you head back

Check the return boat to Volos with the company the day before, especially outside summer or in wind. If a hydrofoil is cancelled, ask whether a ferry still runs.
