Volos to Skiathos by sea

Athens or Thessaloniki Volos boat Skiathos

Route map: Athens, Volos, Skiathos

Skiathos, the first island of the Northern Sporades, is reached from mainland Greece by sea from Volos, the port city of Magnesia between Athens and Thessaloniki. Two companies sail Volos–Skiathos: Seajets with ferries and fast craft, and Aegean Flying Dolphins with hydrofoils. Both continue to Skopelos and Alonissos. This site puts the bus and train links to Volos, the port, the boats and the first steps on Skiathos in one place, from official sources only.

  • Sea: Seajets (Volos–Skiathos–Skopelos–Alonissos) and Aegean Flying Dolphins hydrofoils.
  • On Skiathos: Skiathos town port, the island bus to the beaches, and a bus to the airport.
